Shrinkage cracks (also called craquelure cracks) occur on concrete surfaces when the young concrete, in the first hours of its hardening phase (hydration), generates so-called restraint stresses that cannot be compensated due to its still low strength.

With TECHNOFIBER, HEBAU relies on innovative fiber additives that effectively help precisely in this early phase. TECHNOFIBER reliably bridges the critical period until the concrete reaches sufficient inherent strength, thus preventing the formation of shrinkage cracks.
